Dick Cassidy has been a broadcaster for over 50 years, specializing in broadcast technical management. He came to Washington, DC in 1971 as Chief Engineer for WASH and became the first Chief Engineer for National Public Radio.
Dick spearheaded WAMU 88.5’s bluegrass Internet radio station, BluegrassCountry.org. As Director of Content Operations, he was responsible for the station’s information technology unit and its broadcast traffic unit.
Dick designed the architecture for the foundation’s broadcast automation system.
