Rural Rhythm Records recording artist Edgar Loudermilk’s signature voice, bass skills, and songwriting are a family tradition for this Louvin Brothers’ descendant. Loudermilk’s distinctive and powerful vocals cut to the heart of a song, while also winning over audiences with his friendly, down-home style. Having experienced a long tenure of performing, including several industry awards with Russell Moore & IIIrd Tyme Out, Rhonda Vincent, and Marty Raybon, in 2015 Loudermilk stepped out forming his own band with the highly-acclaimed guitarist Jeff Autry, Zack Autry (mandolin), Curtis Bumgarner (banjo), and Dylan Armour (resonator guitar).
The Edgar Loudermilk Band’s title track on their 2019 album Lonesome Riverboat Blues (Rural Rhythm Records) spent 12 weeks in the Top 20 of the Bluegrass Today Airplay Charts. In addition, “Lonesome Riverboat Blues” (written by Edgar Loudermilk, Jeff Autry, & Zack Autry) reached #1 status on the Sirius XM Bluegrass Junction “Most Played” status for July 2019. The band recently released their second track from the album, “The House My Daddy Built,” co-written by Mark “Brink” Brinkman, Mike Morgan, & Jeff Elliott, and is being well received by fans during the band’s live performances, as well as on the radio airwaves.
