Step right into the Dance Tent for a performance and workshop by the Green Grass Cloggers, featuring live music by the Willow Dillon (of Strictly Strings), her partner Joe, and some of their friends. No experience or partner is necessary to participate in the workshop.
The Green Grass Cloggers formed in Greenville, North Carolina, in 1971. Distinguishing themselves from precision teams, the original GGCs fused traditional flatfooting steps, head-high kicks, and western square dance figures, and they created steps that have proliferated to numerous other groups through the GGC's regional, national, and international performance history. Currently, GGC teams are based in Asheville and Greenville, NC. The Cloggers typically perform three- and four-couple routines created at various intervals in the group’s history, but they also may include some with as few as four dancers or as many as 16!
