OPEN DANCE AND CLOGGING DEMONSTRATION. Natives of Doc Watson’s hometown of Deep Gap, NC Cane Mill Road’s two studio albums -- which include music that walks the lines between bluegrass, Americana, old-time, and folk -- racked up a total of seven weeks on Billboard’s Bluegrass Albums Chart. Made up of teens and young adults, the band looks to the future with a blended set of traditional and contemporary music.

Williette Hinton (son of internationally acclaimed musician and dancer Algia Mae Hinton) is a clogger, buckdancer, and native North Carolinian. Hinton, a Music Maker Relief Foundation artist, makes his second appearance as part of Shout & Shine guest dancing with Cane Mill Road.

The Fourth Annual Shout & Shine: A Celebration of Diversity in Bluegrass will take place all day Friday, September 27, in the Wide Open StreetFest Dance Tent, celebrating music and dance by underrepresented and marginalized artists, musicians, and performers who love bluegrass, old-time, and roots music.
